Comment: Pat, I just came across your website. Very nice. Good to see you are still with the 2dNC. I am doing 1812 now with the 5th MD in Baltimore. All the best to you and the family. Regards Jeff

Comment: Patrick, after perusing your blogs, I believe we may be related. I am a descendent of Benjamin O'Kelley and my family is in Buncombe County NC. Please contact me if you have any more info, or want to participate in some options other family members are doing to trace our heritage. I have some very solid info, and would love to share. God Speed, and thanks for serving our country. Katie, 5026395169

Comment: My ancestor is Capt. Richard Bradley, Sr., Society of the Cincinnati, N.C. Continental Line (2nd Regt.?) paymaster and Wilmington merchant; wife Elizabeth Ashridge Sharpless. In the circa 1750's, Richard and his father-in-law, John Sharpless, III, ran the Messrs. Bradley & Sharpless Inn, 'Choefington', on the Cape Fear River, below Fayettville. Do you know where deunct 'Choefington' is today? Likely it was a ferry crossing, possibly with a courthouse? They were from Chester, Penn.
